Welcome to Ken Research Group!

Our research focuses on Chemical Technologies and how to translate academic discoveries into practical solutions in Synthesis, Sensing and Sustainability.

In Synthesis, we are interested in high-throughput experimentation, automated synthesis using robots, flow chemistry and beads technology.

In Sensing, we are interested to develop small molecule photosensitizers as research tools for bio-imaging, phototherapy and rapid detection of microorganisms.

In Sustainability, we are interested to develop high value food ingredients through biovalorisation approaches.

We started this collaboration since 2020.

Ken accepted a joint appointment (Senior Scientist II) with A*Star, and looking forward to more translation projects with IMRE researchers.

Ken co-authored a paper with Associate Professor Michinao Hashimoto: "3D Printing of Okara Ink: The Effect of Particle Size on the Printability" in ACS Food Science and Technology. We started this collaboration since 2018.
